My only concern today is team selection.
We still have a winning team available but I fear the Cole/Nolan choice.
Newcastle have won 6 in a row but I think they will get a wake up call today.
Time for Carroll to extract the digit and earn his wages.

West Ham 3 Newcastle 1

That much missing talent would hurt any side.

I hope we don't lose anyone else today.

The conjunction of Newcastle's revival with our injury crisis has made me think we're going to get a point rather than the easy three I expected a few weeks ago.

I hope I'm being pessimistic

Police have closed the A1 due to explosion, could affect Newcastle fans travelling down.

http://news.sky.com/story/1382669/explosion-motorway-closed-after-blast-reports

Six miles of motorway are affected and the road is likely to stay shut until about 3pm, according to the Highways Agency.
Its website said the closure is between Junction 51 at Leeming Bar and Junction 56 at Barton.
Newcastle United football fans are expected to be among those affected as they travel south to play West Ham.
The club said it had notified the London club that its travelling supporters could be delayed.

Afternoon charley and all

As you probably all know, Reid is suspended, Downing and Kouyate were close to being ready yesterday. Sakho hurt his back with Senegal and has no chance, Valencia may be back for West Brom. Song could be long term with his ongoing knee problems.

No official team sheet yet but with what we have I would go with :
Adrian, Cresswell, Collins, Tomkins, Jenkinson, Noble, Amilfitano, Kouyate Downing, Nolan, Carroll. Just what I would go for though, I'll let you know if I have any updates before the official announcement.

Noble seems to everything from being assessed to being out til Christmas.
Is he training and a possible?

Re: West Ham v Newcastle - Official Match Thread
Cheers Bom.

We have had a good run playing un Sam like.
I worry we will go back to Sams way now, and go on a massive slump.
Which will be a huge coincidence, and not at all related.

I got told that his injury wasn't as bad as first thought and should feature today.

Re: West Ham v Newcastle - Official Match Thread
Both teams playing well, bit of history between the clubs, Pardew, Carroll, 2 sets of passionate fans. I can see a 3-3 draw here*

* it will probably end 0-0

Re: West Ham v Newcastle - Official Match Thread
I'd go with that team as well Flex, should be able to compete with that line up. Sounds negative but I would take a point from this game

Sven Roeder 3:01 Sat Nov 29
Re: West Ham v Newcastle - Official Match Thread
Cheers Bom
We need everyone we can get on the pitch!

Unusual situation where managers have each managed both sides.
You'd think BFS would be pretty keen not to lose to this lot while at least Pardew has a measure of respect from our fans.
